Clara Murnig | Coaching
Clara Murnig is associate lecturer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Pflichtfach, Klavierpraktikum, Begleitpraxis, Instrumentalpraktikum) and is a freelance pianist, chamber musician and accompanist. She studied piano accompaniment with Simon Lepper and Roger Vignoles at the Royal College of Music in London and with Ursula Kneihs and Anna Pfeiffer at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna. She visited masterclasses at Samling Artist with Malcolm Martineau, Stephen King, Sir Thomas Allen and at the Schubert Institut Baden bei Wien with Helmut Deutsch, Julius Drake and Elly Amling and the Klangforum Wien. In 2012 she was awarded the Lucy Ann Jones Award of the Royal College of Music and the STARTStipendium of the Austrian Federal Ministry of Eduction, Art and Culture in the section Music and Performing Arts. Prizes for interpretation of contemporary music at the 21st isa pragwienbudapest (2011) and for piano accompaniment at the Brooks van der Pump English Song Competition at the Royal College of Music (2013). She worked in collaboration with Anna Anandarajah, Chema Banuls, Kamila Bydlowska, Michael Butchard, Oscar Castellino, Claudia Goebl, Lisa Kiriaty, Maria Ostroukhova, Fiona Robertson, Cliff Zammit Stevens and played concerts at the Edgar Elgar Room of the Royal Albert Hall, at the Norfolk Music Room of the Victoria&Albert Museum and at the Festival classic.muerz in Austria. In Vienna she is working as a pianist in collaboration with the team tak.tik and the Arnold Schönberg Center and worked at the opera Festival Burg Gars (Der Freischütz), the Tête à tête Opera Festival in London (Black Sand. Soup Opera Productions) and the Next Liberty in Graz (Le nozze di Figaro).
