Claudia Visca was a professor for voice at the Hochschule für Musik, Cologne between 2000 and 2003, and since 2002 she is a professor at the Viennese 'Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kunst', institute for voice and music theatre. She also regularly directs international master classes for voice and interpretation and acts also as a jury member at international competitions. Her students are prize-winners of many competitions and they are engaged at well-known opera houses. Her 26-year's career saw her at more than 25 opera houses, among others in Amsterdam, Berlin, Cologne, Geneva, Munich, Vienna and Zurich. She embodied 75 roles in operas, operettas and musicals in about 2000 performances.

In her career and also in numerous chamber music concerts she has appeared together with Leonard Bernstein, Eugene Ormandy, Isvan Kertesz, Rudolf Serkin, Yo Yo Ma, with members of the Guaneri Quartet, Sandor Vegh, Bruno Canino, Sarvatore Accardo, with the Rom String Quartet, with Jean-Pierre Rampal, Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo. Born in New York she finished her studies at the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia. A Fulbright scholarship brought her to the Viennese 'Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst', where she studied with Hilde Rössel-Majdan and Anton Dermota.
