Born in Hong Kong, Patrick Leung studied violin at the Mozarteum University Salzburg with Paul Roczek. Chamber music lessons with Rainer Schmidt and Imre Rohmann played an important role in his musical development. After completing his violin study, Patrick Leung obtained a teaching position at the Mozarteum University Salzburg as a piano-répétiteur. His intensive musical collaborations with members of the Hagen Quartett strongly influence his artistic development. Patrick Leung performs in various chamber music formations with musicians such as Klara Flieder, Rainer Schmidt and Lukas Hagen. Since 2010 he has been giving duo recitals regularly with Klara Flieder, with whom he presented the complete cycles of Mozart and Beethoven Piano-Violin Sonatas, as well as projects such as “Schumann and his friends” in various Schumann cities. He serves as official piano accompanist in major music festivals and international competitions.
