Wladislav Winokurow, who was born in Kiev, Ukraine in 1980, came into contact with music very early. Coming from a musical family, he received his first musical training from his father at the age of five. His attendance of the Special Musical College for Gifted Children and Young People was followed by intensive musical training and the support of Alexander Panov, Avanes Buludian and later Isaak Kuschnir. He had his first major experience on stage when only ten years old with solo performances with the Kiev Chamber Orchestra. In 1992 he moved to Austria. His musical education continued at the Vienna Musikgymnasium (Vienna Music School), combined with professional instrument tuition initially with Eugenia Polatschek. This was followed by a Music Degree at the Vienna University of Music and Dramatic Arts under Gernot Winischhofer and Boris Kuschnir, which he passed with distinction. In addition to master classes with Abraham Stern and Viktor Tretyakov, he participated in, among other things, chamber music collaborations with artists like Mischa Kugel, Rainer Honeck, Rudolf Leopold, Michael Hell, Dominika Falger, Benjamin Gilmore, Milan Karanovic, Arkadij Vinokurov and the like. He entered into regular collaboration with the Vienna Symphonic, Viennese string soloists (ensemble of Vienna Philharmonic players), the Vienna Concert Association (ensemble of Vienna Symphonic players), Vienna Classical Players (ensemble of Vienna Symphonic players), the Strauss Festival Orchestra and Academia Allegro Vivo. In 2010 he was appointed to teach his own violin class at the Margareten Music School. From 2012 to 2013 he was a Senior Lecturer (representing the preparatory class) at Graz University of Music, and in the subsequent audition in 2014 he was one of two shortlisted. His successes to date include winning numerous national and international competitions. He has provided a great deal of private preparation for entrance examinations, interim examinations and final examinations at the Vienna Private University of Music and Art, Vienna Music and Performing Arts, Santa Cecilia Conservatoire, Rome, Prayner Conservatoire in Vienna, Gustav Mahler Conservatoire and others. In 2011-2013 he was Deputy Headmaster at the Margareten State Music School, Vienna and was on the jury at competitions such as the Prima la Musica State and Federal Competition (Austria). He was also a founder and chairman of the Art and Culture Association with its focus on promoting music and art and project and concert management. He was the artistic director of the “Kulturwelten.at Sommerkurs” (summer course) master classes initiated by himself. Since 2015 he has been the spokesman for the specialist group of higher string players for music schools in Vienna with responsibility for 17 sites.
