Christian Tarla, french pianist and piano docent, studied organ and piano at the Schola Cantorum and at the Ecole Normale Alfred Cortot in Paris. One of the most decisive encounters of his life, however, was the one with the Russian pianist and pedagogue Alexander Satz, with whom he studied for many years at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz. Concert activity as a soloist with orchestras and as a chamber musician in France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria.
He devotes himself however mainly to his teaching activities, especially with talented and motivated young musicians: He teaches at the Johann-Joseph Fux Conservatory of Styria in Graz and holds master classes in Brazil, France, Austria, Russia, Slovenia, Taiwan... Juror in national and international piano and chamber music competitions. Several of his young students have regularly won prizes at national and international competitions. Senior Lecturer in didactics and methodology of keyboard instruments and specific teaching of piano at the University of Music and Dramatic Arts in Graz.
