Georg Eggner, violinist in the 'Eggner-Trio', was a teacher at the Austrian Haydn-Konservatorium Eisenstadt between Oct. 2008 and Sept. 2009 as well as from Oct. 2011 to Sept. 2012 for preparation-, educational theory and concert-students, as well as a teacher in various master classes (e.g. with the 'Kammermusiktage Reichenau', with the 'Akademie Schloss Weinberg', with the 'Chamber Music New Zealand' und with 'Musica Viva Australia'. Georg Eggner won First Prizes at the national competitions 'Jugend musiziert' and 'Prima la Musica' and at the international competition 'Concorso Internationale di Musica per I Giovani' (Stresa/Italy). In 2001 he won the national competition 'Ö1_Geige' (Ceruti 1840), sponsored by the ORF and BAWAG. Born in Linz/Austria he started violin playing at the age of 7 in his home village St. Florian, and was adopted in Boris Kuschnir's violin class at the Bruckner-Konservatorium in Linz at the age of 11. Later he continued his studies with Günther Pichler at the Viennese Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst. He also attended master classes with Igor Ozim and became scholarship holder of the 'Alban-Berg-Stiftung', of the 'Dr. Robert und Thyll Dürr Stiftung' (Switzerland) of the Tokyo Foundation (Japan).
