Isabel Schneider started her violin-playing at the Musicschool in Konstanz, where she was born. When she was 13 years old, she had the chance to be a pupil at the St Mary`s Musicschool Edinburgh (Patron Yehudi Menuhin),where she decided to try becoming a professional musician. She continued her studies at the „Musikhochschule Zürich/Winterthur“, with Rudolf Bamert and Rudolf Koelman. After finishing the first diplomas she went to the „Musikakademie Basel“, where she studied with Alexander van Wijnkoop and Walter Levin up to the concert diploma. 1993-1995 she spent in Sydney, playing with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and collecting teaching experience at two different schools. 1995 she moved on to Vienna, working with different ensembles like the Klangforum Wien, Wiener Kammerorchester, Neue Oper Wien, Ensemble Reconsil, Ensemble Zeitfluß. And since 1998 she is teaching a big violinclass at the Musicschool Tulln, looking after 30 pupils  to young string-quartetts and of course coaching the violin sections of the Youth Orchestra, which she enjoys alot.
