We pick up from where you are right now ...

Chamber music is one of the most beautiful ways to experience music together. Join in with your own ensemble, put together in advance by you and your teacher! Start looking at home for music-loving colleagues with whom you would like to make music.

Our youth course for chamber music offers you and your own ensemble the opportunity to work on chamber music for piano, violin, viola, cello, and flute in various combinations under the guidance of internationally renowned artists and educators.

The diverse contacts with course participants and instructors in the harmonious atmosphere of the castle, nestled in the gentle landscape of Upper Austria's Innkreis region, create an ideal setting for intensive ensemble work.

We invite

ensembles assembled exclusively in advance or existing ensembles (NO individual participants) from duos to larger groups (strings, piano & flute) aged 8 to 18 of all nationalities and all levels of training from universities, colleges, conservatories, music schools, and private lessons.

The following services are included in the course fee

At least 40 minutes of ensemble lessons per ensemble per day, depending on the composition of the ensemble | chamber orchestra on a case-by-case basis | rhythm training on a case-by-case basis | sight-reading for pianists on a case-by-case basis | all classes are open to listeners | free use of pianos and rehearsal rooms for pianists & piano ensembles | one workshop concert | one public final concert with free admission for all participants and concertgoers | All participants will receive a certificate of participation.

There are plenty of practice rooms and pianos available for piano ensembles. Practice times will be organized. String players and flutists can practice in their rooms, but separate practice rooms are not available for out-of-town participants.

The course languages are German & English | The languages of instruction of the respective instructors can be found in their biographies.

Course content

We will work on the technical implementation and interpretation of your works as well as on the development of a harmonious ensemble sound.

You are free to choose your program, preferably in consultation with your teachers.
