Our youth course for chamber music offers you the opportunity to play chamber music for piano, violin, viola, cello and flute in various formation under the guidance of internationally renowned artists and teachers. By making music together you promote your creativity and joy of playing. The various contacts with the course participants and teachers in the harmonious atmosphere of the castle, which is embedded in the gentle landscape of the Upper Austrian Innkreis, create an optimal framework for intensive work, progress on your instrument and making music together.
The following services are included in the course fee
Every day at least 40 minutes ensemble lessons per ensemble depending on the composition of the ensemble | occasionally chamber orchestra | occasionally rhythm training | occasionally sight-reading for pianists | all classes are open for listening | free use of the pianos and practising rooms for pianists and piano ensembles | a workshop concert | a public final concert with free admission for all participants and concert visitors | All participants receive a participation diploma.
Course contents
We will work on the technical realisation and interpretation of your works and on the development of a harmonious ensemble sound. If you want to participate with your own ensemble, you can choose your own program.
As an individual participant you will be notified by mid-June with whom you will be playing in the ensemble. The composition of the ensembles and the selection of the works will be made taking into account your wishes as far as possible. The names and addresses of the players and the work to be prepared will be announced to you in time.
There are enough rooms and pianos at your disposal. The practice times are organized.
Invited are
young strings, pianists & flutists from 8 to 18 years of age of all nationalities of all levels of education from universities, colleges, conservatories, music schools and from private lessons You can participate as an individual participant or - even better - with your own ensemble. What you should be able to do.
The course languages are German & English | the teaching languages of the respective lecturers you can find in their biographies.
As a string instrument player you should be able to play the lower registers and the basic strokes.
As a pianist you should be able to master works of the degree of difficulty of easy sonatas, easy pieces from J. S. Bach 2-voice inventions or R. Schumann's album for the youth.
As a flutist you should have been taking lessons for at least 3 years and have mastered the lower school literature.

Registration deadline
Please note the registration deadline. Due to the high demand and limited number of places, we recommend that you register in good time. Later registrations can be considered if there are any places left.
Final concert
The final public concert will take place in the Fresco Hall of Schloss Zell an der Pram. The teachers select the participants.
Supervision and Leisure
Our supervisor ensures individual and age-appropriate care for the participants and is available to help you with any questions about the course schedule and organisation through to finding the classrooms, from the time you get up until bedtime. Of course, she will also help you if you are homesick or have any other problems.
Sports activities such as football, table tennis and volleyball are as much part of the recreational programme as games such as "Halli Galli", "Phase 10", Activity, etc.
