Bernhard Landauer

Countertenor Bernhard Landauer’s repertoire ranges from early music and Romantic Lieder to world premieres.

He has sung under renowned conductors such as George Benjamin, René Jacobs, Robert King, Ton Koopman and Mstislav Rostropovich, and has appeared in productions directed by Philippe Arlaud, Calixto Bieito, Achim Freyer, Harry Kupfer and David Pountney at the Berlin State Opera, the Bregenz Festival, Frankfurt Opera, the Schwetzingen Festival, the Royal Swedish Opera in Stockholm, the Vienna State Opera and Volksoper Vienna.

For many years, he has explored holistic approaches to breathing and vocal technique, bodywork and mental training, collaborating with Hugh Milne, Renate Schulze-Schindler, Kurt Widmer and Brigitta Seidler-Winkler, among others.
