
As a member of the Dalton Quartet, Marlene Duschlbauer is a two-time winner of the StreicherPLUS competition of the Oberbank Linz (2013, 2015) and since 2019 she has been a cellist in the QuintetNEA. She played concerts with the Upper Austrian Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Innviertler Symphony Orchestra, the Vienna Jeunesse Orchestra and Philharmonices Mundi. Concert tours have taken her to Italy, Malta, Belgium, Sweden, China and Switzerland. Marlene Duschlbauer teaches at the Upper Austrian State Music School and at the Music School of the City of Linz.
Marlene Duschlbauer received her first cello lessons at the LMS Freistadt with Johannes Watzinger, Tobias Stosiek and Anna Stockinger. After graduating from the Music High School in Linz, she studied violoncello with Andreas Pözlberger, which she successfully completed in 2014. She continued her pedagogical master's studies at the A. Bruckner Private University and additionally studied concert cello with Othmar Müller at the Haydn Conservatory in Eisenstadt, which she completed with excellent results in 2017. She received further musical impulses among others by Gerhard Darmstadt, Franz Bartholomey, Lily Francis, Cornelia Löscher and Susan Meesun Hong Coleman.
