Barbara Lübke, born in Wiesbaden/Germany, studied in Würzburg, Freiburg and Düsseldorf. At the age of 18 she became solo-cellist of the Cologne Chamber Orchestra, with which she toured through Europe and America. In 1978 she became solo cellist of the Camerata Salzburg. At the same time she became member of the “Pro Arte Quartet”. With this ensemble she made international career. Concerts at several renowned chamber music festivals and tours. CD-records with RCA Victor BMG. Chamber music partners of Barbara Lübke are among others Benjamin Schmid, Radovan Vlatkovic, Sabine Meyer, Hermann Baumann, Eduard Brunner, Julius Berger and Dimitri Sgouros.
