Sara Mayer

Sara Mayer was born in Upper Austria and received her first violin lessons there at the state music school with Lisa Fruhwirth. Graduate of the Linz Music High School, preliminary studies with Albert Fischer, later with Sabine Nova at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz.

Bachelor studies with Werner Neugebauer at the Mozarteum University Salzburg. Between February and June 2018 Erasmus at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Musica de Madrid with Ana Comesana. Baroque violin lessons with Elisabeth Wiesbauer. Master's degree (graduated in 2022) with Werner Neugebauer at the Anton Bruckner Private University Linz.

2020-2021 Temporary contract in the first violins in the Mozarteum Orchestra Salzburg. Substitute in the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. Regular concerts with the Upper Austrian Mozart Ensemble, the Festival Sinfonietta Linz, the Johann Strauss Ensemble and the Salzburg Chamber Soloists. Member of the Radauer Ensemble since 2017, performing folk music concerts. Since 2022 she has been playing the violin in the Constanze Quartet Salzburg, where she can be heard regularly at concerts and at international festivals, such as the Mozart Week 2024. Since 2022 teaching at the Upper Austrian State Music School.
