Pianist Sebastian Euler was born in southern Germany and studied piano with Karl-Hermann Mrongovius and school music at the Munich University of Music and Theatre. During his studies, he gained international attention when, together with his partner Lucia Huang, he won the two most prestigious competitions for piano duo internationally (ARD Competition Munich and Murray Dranoff Miami) within a year. After this he began a concert career of more than twenty years, in which he – as a duo and as a soloist – performed in a variety of important concert halls and venues such as Beethovenfest Bonn, Kissinger Sommer, Rheingau Festival, Herkulessaal München, Semperoper Dresden, Tonhalle Zürich, Congress Innsbruck, Klavierfrühling Deutschlandsberg etc. He has collaborated with well-known conductors such as Heinrich Schiff, Christoph Poppen, Howard Griffiths and Hansjörg Albrecht. Concert tours have taken him several times to cultural centers in the USA (Chicago, Miami, Washington D. C. ) and Asia.

In addition to a constant examination of the masterpieces of Brahms, Schumann, Beethoven, Schubert, Reger and Messiaen, his discography also documents pianistic rarities by Godowsky, Weber, Reinecke and Moscheles. These 9 CDs have all been awarded top ratings and record prizes such as the Diapason d’or or the Pizzicato Supersonic Award. “ Fono Forum” and “Klassik Heute” refer to the 2017 live recording of the Brahms Sonata for Two Pianos as a reference recording.

Parallel to his artistic activity, Sebastian Euler has been teaching in Austria for many years, first at the Feldkirch Conservatory and since 2008 as Professor of Piano at the Innsbruck Conservatory. There he leads a main subject class in cooperation with mdw Wien (concert piano) and mdw Wien. the Mozarteum Salzburg (IGP Piano). Sebastian Euler is very close to the heart of the musical promotion of young people. In addition to an active jury work on “prima la musica” and “ Jugend musiziert” he has become increasingly involved in workshops and master classes in Austria and Germany in recent years. Several years of collaboration with the Goethe-Institut also took him to Hanoi, Saigon, Abu Dhabi and Panama City for specially designed education projects.
